“Just be consistent” is terrible advice

A lady on Threads posted this...

Just be consistent is some of the most useless advice in this industry. CONSISTENT WITH WHAT???

I shared my unsolicited thoughts on her question....

Consistent doesn't mean posting everyday. It means being consistent with your offer/messaging.

Here's a simple content plan...

List out 10 SPECIFIC problems your audience struggles with (that your offer solves)

List out 10 specific desires your audience has (that your offer gets them).

List out 2-5 “hills that you will die on". Opinions that'll piss people off.

That gives you 22-25 pieces of content to yap about.

Go deeper on the topics that get good engagement.

Share your proof (this can be your story, journey or transformation), along with nice comments you get on social. I bet half of the 100s of screenshots I have in my brag folder are from people who are NOT my customers. Social proof does NOT have to be from customers.

Remember...

Good messaging = contrast.

Old life vs. new life.

Old beliefs vs. new beliefs.

Old method vs. new method.

Old results vs. new results.

And share your PLAN often.

Your simple 3-5 step process for getting someone from where they are (Hell island) to where they want to be (Heaven island).

Bonus points: Give your unique process, system, framework, methodology a name. Mine is called the "M.O.M. Method". Repeat this OFTEN. Become known for it.

Get your people buying into your plan BEFORE selling them on your offer.

You don't need 70-11 content pillars, with a Notion dashboard that looks like something from NASA mission control.

You need ONE thing: A clear message repeated often (you'll feel like a broken record).

That is the kind of consistently that matters.

YOU GOT THIS 🙌

I’ve had some good conversations with peeps over email lately about my move to Lovable. The plan: Build my entire online ecosystem under ONE roof. Website, products, funnels, blog, course delivery. All of it. But there’s another reason I’m making the move... I want to start running ads again. I'm not crazy about running ads to a Stan store because lack of control. I ran ads last summer (2025). They didn’t do too hot. So I took this summer off. But fall? Fall is my favorite time to run ads. Q4...

My buddy Kerry stopped by today. At 2:14 this afternoon, he randomly texted me: “You have the kids this week? I just dropped my daughter off and wanted to see if you’re free right now?” 10 minutes later he was sitting on my couch. We spent the next 2.5 hours yapping about entrepreneurship, running ads, funnels, Lovable, dating in Vegas and being a single Dad. Ya know, normal Monday afternoon shit. Kerry and I met on an Internet Marketing forum about a decade ago. I believe he bought an ebook...

I've done a shitty job with my daily email habit. I missed 23 days. TWENTY. THREE. And lemme tell ya... Getting back on the daily email train after falling off is about as enjoyable as getting back in the gym after taking a month off. You KNOW you should do it. You KNOW you'll feel better afterward. But your brain makes every damn excuse why "tomorrow is the day". Anywhoo.... I added some color and a fresh design to my new website. And I'm slowly moving everything away from Stan. Products....
