I’ve had some good conversations with peeps over email lately about my move to Lovable. The plan: Build my entire online ecosystem under ONE roof. Website, products, funnels, blog, course delivery. All of it. But there’s another reason I’m making the move... I want to start running ads again. I'm not crazy about running ads to a Stan store because lack of control. I ran ads last summer (2025). They didn’t do too hot. So I took this summer off. But fall? Fall is my favorite time to run ads. Q4 starts in 16 days. October. November. December. People are in BUYING mode. It's like selling candy to a baby. So on my morning walk today, I whipped out my phone and recorded two short videos. Nothing fancy. Backwards hat, weighted vest, and me just yapping into the camera. One video was 28 seconds. The other was 52 seconds. I got home, and uploaded those into the Meta ads manager. They go live at 12:01 am tomorrow. They're simple retargeting ads, meaning they'll ONLY be shown to people who visited my site in the last 14 days. Warm traffic = People who already know me. And here’s the important part... I can run ads because I have something CLEAR to advertise. Most people try to figure out Facebook ads...a blog, podcast, YouTube channel, funnels, brand kits, color palettes, email automations, AI, content calendars.... My buddy Kerry stopped by today. At 2:14 this afternoon, he randomly texted me: “You have the kids this week? I just dropped my daughter off and wanted to see if you’re free right now?” 10 minutes later he was sitting on my couch. I've done a shitty job with my daily email habit. I missed 23 days. TWENTY. THREE. And lemme tell ya... Getting back on the daily email train after falling off is about as enjoyable as getting back in the gym after taking a month off. You KNOW you should do it. You KNOW you'll feel better afterward. But your brain makes every damn excuse why "tomorrow is the day". Anywhoo.... I added some color and a fresh design to my new website. And I'm slowly moving everything away from Stan. Products....
Ava stayed home from school today. Girl stuff. As the Dad of a teenager, I’ve learned there are certain situations where my job is NOT to investigate. All I said all morning was... "How ya feeling?" "Need anything?" "Hungry?" There’s something oddly freeing about knowing when you DON’T need to do more. It reminds em a lot of what we do online. When something isn't working...isn't the answer we always rush to is to do MORE. Another funnel, another offer, another platform, another strategy some...
