Ava, Ashton, my parents and myself went to Chick-fil-A for lunch today. We got there around noon, and the place was packed. No surprise. The staff running around with smiles and trays in each hand, saying, "my pleasure" like they meant it. As my Dad was wiping salt off his hands from the waffle fries, I got to thinking about Chick-fil-a's operation. They sell chicken. Nothing else. Sandwiches, nuggets, strips, delicious waffle fries and milkshakes. You ain't gonna find burgers, tacos, breakfast pizza, or a 12 page menu to flip through. And they're closed on Sundays, on purpose. It don't matter, every other day there's still a dozen+ cars stacked in the drive-thru I Googled and found that each store does about $9 million per year, which is DOUBLE what the average McDonald's restaurant does. In fact, the average Chick-fil-a store outearns McDonald's, Starbucks and Subway COMBINED. One menu. One day off (by choice). And they lap the competition. That's what happens when you get focused on one thing and get really damn good at it. Most Creators buy into the illusion of "more in better". More platforms, more offers, more content buckets. A Stan store that has 70-11 listings. It might feel like progress, but it's a trap. You can't get really good at one thing when trying to juggle a dozen different things.
