Man... You guys & gals are amazing. Here's a peek into my inbox from yesterday... Just an outpouring of love. Sure does make a 45 year old man, with an obsession with egg nog, Reese's peanutbutter eggs, and Oreo blizzards from Dairy Queen, feel good. THANK YOU!!! I greatly appreciate you! I'll be honest...I almost didn't hit send yesterday. 23 days of silence is a hard thing to explain, and an even harder thing to admit you don't have a good excuse for. But every single reply told me the same thing. Nobody really gave a shit about the excuse, they just wanted to know I was ok. I spent 3 weeks convinced I owed you guys & gals a better explanation before I could show back up. It turns out, you just wanted me to show back up. THANK YOU! YOU GOT THIS 🙌 In your corner, |

23 days. That's how many days since I sent an email. I missed one day. That turned into 5 days. Then 23 days. Then I panicked..."What do I say?" My buddy Kerry texted me about it on August 19th: He was right. 13 days later, I'm finally taking his advice. I apologize for ghosting you, Reader I pride myself on daily emails. Ashton turned 11 this morning. We have a tradition to keep. The kids are at their Mom's this week, so it sucked not waking up and giving him a big ol' hug & kiss. We started a tradition a few years back. We do it on his bday and Ava's (her bday is the 30th of this month). We go to Dunkin Donuts for some sweet treats. On the way there, we blast "In Da Club" by 50 Cent (It's your birthday...). Ava couldn't make it today, as she had bad cramps, but the tradition still stood for Ashton. When you...
69 straight days swimming laps in the pool. I stepped on the scale on Saturday, and it read: 151.2 lbs. The kids & I ate some pizza on Saturday (and Sunday), so I weigh a bit more. Down 27.4 lbs since January 1st. Anywho, I've shared before that I time myself in the pool. My best time is 7:21 (a few weeks ago, it was 9:08). Tonight I hit 7:22. Same time as Saturday. I looked at my watch, and was a bit disappointed that I was 2 seconds off a new record. Then it hit me... I showed up. Again....
