I've been sitting in a sauna with O.J. Simpson's son

I've been chatting with this guy in the sauna occasionally.

Nothing crazy.

Just two dudes sweating their asses off and shooting the shit.

Well, last night I found out who he is.

O.J. Simpson's SON, Justin!

WTF?!?!

Apparently, I've been sitting in a sauna with O.J. Simpson's son and had zero clue.

Here's where it gets even crazier...

O.J. actually lived in my neighborhood here in Las Vegas.

And he died in that house.

I'd heard rumors for years that he lived around here, but never knew exactly where.

About six months after he passed away, my ex found his address, and we drove by the house one day.

Last night, I learned I've had several conversations with him in the sauna. About being a Dad, a casino down the street and we chatted about this frozen custard place him and I both love.

Small freaking world!

But here's what I find interesting about this whole thing...

Before I knew who he was, he was just another guy in the sauna.

Same dude, same convo.

Nothing changed about him.

The only thing that changed is what I knew about him.

And it got me thinking about something I've been yapping about lately...

How little people actually know about the person behind the social media account.

Some people have 1,000s of followers, post daily, but they don't share their story, experiences, what they believe, hills they will die on, etc.

People buy WHO you are over WHAT you sell.

This is why I share stories about my life in these emails with a business (or life) lesson woven in. I'm giving you guys & gals a peak into my life, beliefs, experiences, and worldviews.

I then repurpose these emails into long form Threads. And many emails turn into talking head videos on social.

It's one of the reasons I've been so obsessed with Tik Tok livestreaming lately.

People get to see the REAL you.

You can't hide when you're on a live video.

It's you yapping, answering questions, handling trolls, sharing stories and just being yourself.

There is no better (or faster) way to build trust online.

Here's a few of the comments I've got on my lives...

You don't always need a better offer.

Your people might just need to get to know you better (why I yammer on about sharing the good AND the bad parts of your journey).

Anywhoooo....

I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that I've been sharing a sauna with O.J. Simpson's son.

Las Vegas never disappoints.

I'm taking my 13 year old daughter to see Weezer tonight. Her FIRST concert! Funny enough, I got into Weezer when I was about her age. 32 years later, I'm taking my daughter to see the same band. Life really comes full circle. Anywhooo.... Before I head out...I have to share something that happened today. A buddy of mine made $1,200 in TWO HOURS on a TikTok livestream this morning. Here's the crazy part... On Monday? He made $0. ZERO. Him and I chatted on the phone this morning. He's on my...

😭😭😭 I made a whopping $83 from my first 73 TikTok livestreams. Yes, EIGHTY THREE DOLLARS. Not $8,300. Not $83,000. Eighty. Three. American. Dollars. I challenged myself to do 100 livestreams in 100 days on April 23rd. I finished the challenge in 92 days. I tracked every single Live in a spreadsheet because I'm a numbers nerd. The results after 73 Lives? $83. If you don't have a calculator....That's a whopping $1.14 per livestream. Flipping burgers would have been a HUGE pay raise. Apparently,...

I spend 92.3% of my social media time on Tik Tok these days. Since losing my Instagram, Threads, and Facebook accounts in June, I've been hesitant to put too many eggs in Meta's basket. So I went all in on Tik Tok. I started selling ONE digital product on August 22nd. A $27 PDF called Every Day Pay Day. That's it. For 58 days, I've sold the same damn thing. No new offers every Tuesday. No chasing the woman in the red dress. Just one product + one platform + one message. And here's what's...
