The streak is over. With ym Threads, Instagram and personal Facebook personal profile being wiped from existence stings. The thing I'm most pissed about? My daily Threads posting streak has been broken. I took a screenshot of this inside Black Twist last night... For the last 743 consecutive days, I've posted on Threads. Until yesterday. I've been dethroned. I take pride in being a consistent MFer. 10k steps/day since April 9, 2024 (only missing 5 days) 100 pushups a day since May1, 2024. 251 straight days of meditation. I started swimming at our pool in our community, and have swam every day for the last 18 days (I'm down 11.8 lbs since starting. I'm tracking my calories & weighing my food, too). A platform wiped the scoreboard that everyone sees. However, it can't touch what built it. The streak ended, but the discipline did not. Don't build your identity on metrics you don't own. I started swimming 3 weeks ago in the pool in our neighborhood. I set out to swim 20 minutes that first day. HAHAHAHAHAHAAH Was I overconfident! The lifeguard nearly had to jump in the pool to rescue me. That is a WORKOUT! WOW!! The lap pool is 25 yards in length. I swim there and back, which takes about 1 minute. I rest for a minute.
